When was the last time you mailed a postcard?

Ok, I haven't updated my blog in a long long time!

I have taken lots of new pictures, learned from my print software, found a new software on the net, Picnik, made lots of new notecards and now POSTCARDS!

A few weeks ago, a friend shared an article with me from Family Fun Magazine.  "Postcrossing"  Have you heard of it?  From their website:  "The postcard crossing project, send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person somewhere in the world."  A link to their website:  http://www.postcrossing.com/  Its free to join/signup, the only cost is a postcard and a stamp!

I LOVE sending postcards and Alex and I love receiving postcards!  We received our first postcrossing postcard yesterday(9/28/2011) from Ohio!  It had a recipe for Ohio Buckeye candy on it!  Oh--how I love chocolate and peanut butter!  :)  Right now, we have 5 enroute/traveling, China, Germany, Russia, and the US.  Once one is received/registered on their website, you can send more.  And of course--the 5 I have traveling--they have TABLE ROCK on the postcard!   I am going to put up a map for Alex, and we are going to track our postcards!

I updated my Postcrossing profile today, I added  "I feel very lucky and blessed to live where we do!  We are several hours away from the beach, but the best part is being close to the mountains!"

We have lots of great places to picture on a postcard to share with the world!  I love calling North Carolina home!

Notecards!

My hobby is taking pictures, and turning the pictures into notecards!
I bundle the cards and envelopes together with ribbon or jute.
Normaly--I do packs of 10 cards--for $10.00
but if a different amount of cards are needed--$1 each card.
I can do assorted packs or solid packs--whatever you prefer!
I also have my notecards on Facebook "Notecards by Sandy Sisk"
since Facebook and a blog are free--GREAT way to advertise!
ALSO--click on any pictures in this blog to view larger.
Plus--there will be several pages since I have added lots of pictures.
If you would like to order notecards, please send me an email at
Thank you very much!
Sandy

Journey to the top of Table Rock Notecards

"Journey to the top"
It was hard, I was slow, but I made it!
And I had a great time along the way snapping pictures!
We are lucky to live in such a wonderful area!

Pic above shows the cards and envelopes bundled together.

Pic below.......is one of my favorites.....
on the trail, close to the top, I just happened to catch the sun over the rocks!
One pic--all you get is sun spots and shadows,
the others--you can see the colors and details of the rocks,
moss, trees, and check out the airplane.

Pic above--the bottom 2 notecards are FROM THE TOP!
Shortoff is in the background.
The path, trail, pines, trees, rocks......its all nature...its all beautiful!
So glad I made the JOURNEY!

Its an easy walk for a breath taking view!
